When you are up against it is always heartening to know that you have someone who will step forward for you.
I have heard from an impeccable source that there are very few people who want to be in the blue corner these days.
Sevco are in dispute with several players who, over the summer, did walking away when Rangers were liquidated.
These former heroes of the Ibrox klan were, of course, entirely entitled under the TUPE regulations to either have their contracts honoured by the new company or to seek pastures new.
Although we do not know how Kyle Lafferty has taken to the high alpine grazing, the thought of FC Sion’s Christian Constantin locking horns with Charles Green is a wonderful image to hold onto.
Sevco could have sought redress at FIFA.
However, they chose to go to the SFA.
Sevco believe that the player’s contracts with nearly liquidated Rangers give the SFA jurisdiction over the issue of whether the ‘walking away’ was legally justified under employment law.
Heretofore the new club have reached a settlement with Steve Davis and Rhys McCabe.
For this arbitration process the player selects a panel member as does the club with the two arbitrators then appointing the chairperson, who will be legally qualified.
Interestingly Sevco had real difficulty in getting someone to sit on the panel.
Eventually they did.
However, this vignette does indicate that the disgraceful behaviour of folks in Ibrox this summer towards people taking part in the SFA’s judiciary has had an impact.

What is this re a boycott of msm?
Does anyone know a Celtic fan who still buys MSM titles?
Thought not.

A boycott by Celtic fans of MSM titles would make no difference. They write (copy/paste) articles for their target audience who still buy their poor man’s toilet paper.

Aye the RFC fans certainly lap up the colourful headlines in the red tops, helps when there is illustrations too. My favourite was a few years ago with an artists impression of a hotel and casino complex purpose built into Ibrokes. The MSM know which target audience keeps them alive…..the evidence is as plain as the nose on you face.

Just read the article by Paul McConville,Random thoughts Re Scots law. Very detailed. The usual pie in the sky, keep on dreaming stuff from Chico. He even mentions the Old F##m brand. I think Celtic should make a statement to distance themselves from this pish. We are totally different from them. I won’t hold my breath as regards to a statement, especially with DD’s comments last week. Did us no favours whatsoever. In the article there is a mention of the state of the art training centre(Murky park). Paul picks up on this as the value is £14M according to Chico. Considering he paid a reported £5.5M for the whole shooting match. Paul states BDO will be interested in that evaluation. More drama to come methinks. I totally agree with other posters that all Celtic fans should do something to affect the sales and viewing figures of the MSM until they take an impartial view on all things Sevco……ps Justice for Zombies, can’t wait till the Killie game…..

lets get one thing straight here the rangers are indeed a newco without any history.that said they do have a third division club which is legally debt free this is fact. in the grand scheme of things they do attract a fan base of 40,000 every second week at ibrox , and in any ones eyes they must be considered as one of scottish footballs more likley clubs to get investment from their fan base .however even if i had won millions on the lotto i would not invest .therfore i would assume that most rangers supporters will look upon this venture by mr green and his consortium as a big ask without having proved themselves first .i honestly dont see them raising any more than 5 million until trust has been gained over a sustained period of time .this comment should not be viewed as a slight on neither rangers ,their fans or mr greens consortium . the fact remains that its just too soon .

The ironic thing is I hear most Celtic fans of which I am one (been tardy and haven’t posted here for a while) want to see nobody take on Baron Von Greenback’s investment opportunities… Should the Celtic fans not be going the opposite route, invest in his pipe dream cos that will at most see them thru to the end of the season.. Hand to mouth for years to come.. Chico even said tonight they would have 2 sets of SB money in one year come next year, he has done his sums and has his exit strategy well in his sights. We all know he talks p!sh and will be skint around the time Santa comes. So let’s promote the baron and his great plan to get the rangers into Champions league quarter finals in a few years time and to own the internet or some other crap he stated. Chico rocks…!!!!

Totally agree Ben.should set up a new blog for anyone affected by Murray’s reckless gambling over the years.the more people who post, the harder it will be for the msm to ignore it
Boycott the papers and switch over at 6pm when the news starts.punish their failure to report the truth by not buying the papers, which in turn, will cost them their jobs.

During a very turbulent part of the last century a well known party threatened the media to print the party line. this was swiftly followed by a yellow triangle to be worn by the non-desirables. and as the song goes “i did not speak, eventually they came for me, and there was no one left to speak”.. the rest, as they say, is history

A very insightful and timely warning to “investors”
http://ftalphaville.ft.com/tag/rangers-fc/
The saga of shame is now set upon a much wider stage and the exposure and resultant examination is very welcome.
We welcome the case!

Tremendous. The only thing missing is the potential for BDO to look into the asset sale and decide they either want a chunk of the cash that the investors already stcu in there orba slice of the float.

Scotland’s Shame is a misnomer.THEY HAVE NO CONCEPT OF SHAME.
Scotland’s Denialists is far more appropriate.
Still lying and cheating from their grave.

Nothing new from this guy Ben, not even being consistent with his numbers. I thought I’d heard him say 30-50 million previously. The thing with a compliant media is that it’ll allow Chuckles to play to the lowest common denominator over Ibrox way (orange away kit anyone) and denying decent fans the ammunition to convince the herd that all’s not well. If this was my club I’d be onto STV asking why he wasn’t challenged on why this issue will be a huge success with the team in Division 3 and unable to beat Stirling when Minty’s was an abject failure at a time when the team was doing well in the top flight.
It is galling to see media allowing itself to be used in this way, and says little for journalism in Scotland. We know the agenda though as clearly highlighted by the award of Sportswriter of the year to Scoop ‘wealth off the radar’ Jackson.
If it continues like this then it really only is a matter of time until Mark II breaks down. With such an unreliable model, I can’t see anyone being willing to finance the release of a Mark III.

A size 8 boot through the telly screen was never closer in casa Tamtic tonight as Chico smarmed `we’re debt free` No bloody wonder, everybody else has been saddled with oldco’s debt. Tax revenue that could have been paying some nurses wages instead of being used to gain unfair advantage by going into the pockets of millionaire footballers. Honestly, it wid gie ye the boak.

I just don’t believe my ears, STV news, an interview with chick green regarding the new share proposal. We have no debts, we have a great fan base and this share issue will raise £20M. Reporter then repeats about the 140 year history and talks about the tumultuous last few months. WTF is going on here ? I don’t know how they are getting away with this charade. You would think they had just missed a payment on a payday loan the way it’s reported.

Same old story Ben, they literally have no shame.
It really is time for Celtic supporters to mobilise again, and make their presence felt with the so-called mainstream media.
Organised boycotts of newspapers, on selected days etc, could easily be done. The reduction in sales and advertising revenue would be enough to get them to print the truth.
