Well this is it.
Unlike a Duff & Phelps deadline today really is a line in the sand.
The people who gather at Hampden this morning have a fundamental decision to make about Scotland’s national game.
Today Scottish football can emerge from a long Ibrox imposed nightmare and start again or it can die.
Those are the choices.
It is a simple enough decision.
They people who will congregate around the big table on the sixth floor have to vote for either marketing or morality.
That will tell the world if they represent clubs or just brands.
Are the people who buy the tickets supporters or are they just customers?
This is a day when the good guys like Turnbull Hutton MUST win.
If they lose then the marketing monkeys will forge ahead with their vision of soccertainment.
The game in Scotland can die today.
That will leave a gap in my life.
Thankfully I have the GAA to fill that void.
I hope you too have alternatives because after today you might not have Scottish football in any meaningful sense.
Today really is the day.

Paul Boyle
Sevco Scotland, who actually owns this company? There are various ideas and comments on this, Octopus with Ticketus having a “relationship” with Zeus, who appear to be the backers for Charlie Green’s investment is one line of discussion on the Web.
But if we go back to the Tribunal and if we can quote a Mr A. McCoist
McCoist added: “I do have a responsibility to do the right thing.
“I also have a responsibility to tell the truth to the Rangers support and, indeed, the Scottish football public.”
Rangers would have made representations to the panel but McCoist argued it was not enough for club officials to be aware of the identity of the members.
He said: “Why should we know and not the general public?
“Everybody should know. There should be clarity. There should be total transparency.”
I just wish he would come out with a statement on SEVCO SCOTLAND similiar to what he has said about the Tribunal, as I am sure loyal Rangers Fans and the Scottish Football Public would like to know, also it would appear that the SFA would like to know this, who are the actual OWNERS of SEVCO SCOTLAND!

GUYS EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS! JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT IT HAD ALL FINISHED THIS WAS SENT TO DUFF AND PHELPS BY EX DUNDEE DIRECTOR GIOVANNI DISTEFANO. Giovanni Di Stefano letter to Duff & Phelps – text version
Mr John Paul Clark/ Mr David John Whitehouse
Duff & Phelps
43-45PORTMAN SQUARE WH1 6LY
LONDON
15th July 2012
Dear Sirs
THE RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB PLC (IN ADMINISTRATION)
I refer to our telephone conversation on the 9th July 2012, letter of 11th July 2012 and my letter of same regarding the above. I refer also to my telephone conversation on the 11th July 2012 at 11.02pm to which I still await a response.
I now am pleased to confirm that on the 14th July 2012 I became a shareholder in the above company by way of a private sale. My share certificate number is C0697808442.
The Rangers Football Club PLC is still de facto an active company and only de jure in administration still permitting the company to trade. I am aware that the assets of the company were sold and I have now received a full report on the per se liabilities and contingent liabilities.
I have to say that prima facia in February 2012 based upon the balance sheet that I have seen I am somewhat surprised that Craig Whyte deemed the ‘company’ insolvent. I now require immediate answers to questions regarding the state of the company both before Administration and to date.
In order that there are no misunderstandings I submit that at the time of Administration namely St. Valentine’s Day (14th February) 2012 the said company was not ‘insolvent’ and that the assets exceeded the liabilities.
I also submit that since May 2011 a sum in the region of £50 million was at worst stolen at best misappropriated from the company with the knowledge of many that at the time were involved in the company including but not limited to bankers, lawyers, accountants, and other professionals.
I submit that Messrs’ Lloyds Bank PLC permitted in excess of £30 million that should have been paid to The Rangers Football Club PLC was actually deposited and paid into the account of The Rangers FC Ltd (formerly known as Wavetower Ltd) and that Wavetower Limited changed its name solely for the purposes of ensuring any payments made to The Rangers Football PLC be deposited into the account of The Rangers FC Ltd hoping the bank would either inadvertently/negligently (at best) purposefully (at worst) would permit such. Since the amounts are by no means small it is clear that as Administrators you have taken no steps to deal with this.
I also submit that although your firm “considered the ethical guidelines within the IPA” your appointment per se contravenes s.994 of The Companies Act 2006:
(1)A member of a company may apply to the court by petition for an order under this Part on the ground—
(a) that the company’s affairs are being or have been conducted in a manner that is unfairly prejudicial to the interests of members generally or of some part of its members (including at least himself), or
(b) that an actual or proposed act or omission of the company (including an act or omission on its behalf) is or would be so prejudicial.
Your firm acquired MCR BC which advised Craig Whyte on the acquisition of the majority shareholding from Sir David Murray. It was further retained, by your own admissions and documents we have seen, to advise on structural matters post acquisition.
I am not convinced that representations you made to HMRC regarding the level of involvement in the pre-Administration era were necessary the whole truth. Notwithstanding that you have cited officially that HMRC ‘were aware’ of your involvement and did not object to your appointment you have produced no document to substantiate such a claim.
As you are supposedly experienced insolvency practitioners you will of course be aware the meaning of the word ‘insolvent’ and its legal ramifications.
On the 14th February 2012 the company held in its bank account in cleared funds (cash) £3,373,170 yet according to reports leaked to the media the company was unable to pay its contribution to HMRC of less than £300,000. I note that on the 14th February 2012 at 13.07pm the said amount was transferred from the company’s account with the Bank of Scotland to your account.
According to information that has been supplied to me since February 2012 to date your firm has received nearly £20,000,000 in fees together with over £5,000,000 in fees to lawyers engaged by your firm. £2.7 million in fees was also paid by Charles Green as a condition of your firm selling the assets of the company to his company Sevco 5088 Ltd which in fact is now Sevco Scotland Ltd even though negotiations had previously been with Sevco 5088 Ltd.
All in all none of those companies have produced accounts or a business plan capable of proper scrutiny and review yet a commodity such as Ibrox Park and Murray Park was sold for £5.5 million with the condition that over half the same amount was also paid in legal fees.
Substantial monies were also paid to Lambert Smith who provided supposedly a valuation and other monies were paid to other agents and advisors.
Between 14th February 2012 and 20th March 2012 the company received just over one million pounds in revenue (£1,055,870) and it appears that money has been used for the costs of administration. The same story it can be said in the months of April and May.
I also note that the company was at one time a member or an associate member of the FSA via registration through a company called Origen Financial Services Ltd that started its life as Bondco 767 Ltd on the 10th March 2000 then changed its name to Momentum Financial Services Ltd on the 2nd March 2005 and ultimately became Origen trading from Farnborough in Hampshire.
Although your firm made an application to the Court of Session on the 19th March 2012 the order granting validity to your appointment was founded upon (a) truthful and accurate statements made to the Court and (b) that the costs of the application would be borne by your firm and not from the Administration.
In order to make clear again I contend that neither was complied with and further if that contention is correct the validity of your appointment per se is further in doubt and a nullity.
I require a full explanation and supporting documents with regard to the shares the Company held in Arsenal Holdings PLC. The company owned historically 16 shares and sold such using the services of an FSA broker Pritchard which was a company ‘owned’ by Craig Whyte although he appeared solely as a company secretary. The amount involved was slightly under £250,000. What actions/steps have you taken to secure the return of those monies that are held in an account that is subject to injunction? According to information received an agreement was reached in May of this year yet I now seek full disclosure.
I need not remind you that your firm are under a Statutory Duty to investigate the affairs of the company in accordance with the Insolvency Act 1986. Transactions that were carried out at undervalue as per s.238; fraudulent preferences as per s.239 and of course transactions to defraud creditors as per s.423. The difficulties in all of the three above are that your firm was involved at all levels of day to day management during the Craig Whyte regime making it impossible to effectively and with transparency undertake such a Statutory Duty. In simple words you would effectively be conducting an investigation into your own conduct.
I also seek sight of the Collyer Bristow Solicitors files especially as million seemed to have ‘gone through’ their client account. I shall be filing a notice with the Law Society since it would appear that whilst all of the dramatis personae are busy suing each other no one seems to have bothered making a report to the Law Society into the manner upon which the said esteemed law firm was able to handle millions without having carried out the Statutory Guidelines imposed by legislation and by the Law Society in money laundering.
In May 2011 approximately (I am awaiting documentation at the time of writing) £26,000,000 was paid to Collyer Bristow Solicitors by Ticketus as an advance fee on season ticket sales for the following three seasons but of which only £19,700,000 would be due to The Rangers Football Club PLC the difference of course in professional fees.
The reason the amount was paid to Collyer Bristow Solicitors was in order that any sums due to the Rangers Football Club PLC would only be paid once Craig Whyte had completed his acquisition of the club. Ticketus were thus relying on Craig Whyte completing his acquisition and I now understand that Sir David Murray was seriously misled into believing Craig Whyte had the financial resources by showing a letter from Collyer Bristow Solicitors evidencing proof of funds.
Of course your firm would have known that since it was your firm that advised Craig Whyte on this matter and of course Collyer Bristow Solicitors would also have known such. The letter from Collyer Bristow Solicitors is facsimile to the ‘letters of comfort’ that Roberto Calvi held from the Vatican Bank which permitted him to extend his fraud in Italy and fool the Italian Central Bank.
In June 2011 your firm duly advised Craig Whyte to pay Ticketus £3,000,000 and a further £5,000,000 in September 2011 and your fees and legal fees of such were in the region of £1,000,000. The said sums were not due to Ticketus since they had advanced monies on ticket sales for the following three years and incidentally on a rate of interest that would qualify as usury. I understand also that Ticketus was in fact introduced by MCR BC which in itself would be a serious conflict of interest.
In September 2011 a day after The Rangers Football Club PLC paid £5,000,000 to Ticketus supposedly in repayment of its obligation under the advance made Ticketus paid the same amount of £5,000,000 as a further advance at exorbitant interest rate to the client account of Collyer Bristow Solicitors. This payment lacks common sense and suggest an open scheme of money laundering and adds to the fuel of allegations that Craig Whyte was being effectively induced at best blackmailed at worst into taking decisions he would not normally.
I fail to comprehend the manner upon which you have failed so openly in your statutory duties to a Company that should never have been in this position.
On the 5th February 2012 the SFA opened an investigation into monies due to Dundee United Football Club over a competition match that was played on 5th February 2012. Yet at the time the amount The Rangers Football Club PLC held in its account was in excess of £4 million. Of course Craig Whyte was well aware that professional fees were due and he invariable considered those to be more priorities than paying for tickets that as I understand are always paid late by clubs but nonetheless paid.
A complaint was then made against Rangers Football Club PLC to the SFA that frankly made little sense other than to ensure that Craig Whyte would be blamed for all wrongs and torts and the professional advisors would seem to be the ‘save what one can’ brigade. The complaints made, not properly explained by whom amount to the following which the SFA claim to be violations of the disciplinary code: (i) failure to disclose that Craig Whyte had previously been a disqualified director (ii) failure to ensure that Craig Whyte acted in accordance with the disciplinary code as per previous (iii) suffering an insolvent event (iv) bringing the game into disrepute (v) failure to pay ticket monies to Dunfermline.
The obligations of disclosure fell upon Craig Whyte and not Rangers Football Club PLC. The company was not insolvent and if anyone has brought the game per se into disrepute it has been the bankers, lawyers and insolvency practitioners. The failure to pay ticket monies to Dunfermline could easily have been remedied since on 12th February 2012 there was over £3m in the company’s bank account and the SFA hearing was rescheduled to a date when your firm were (unfortunately) administrators and could have paid that.
At all material times you were aware that Craig Whyte had been a disqualified director even though his disqualification period ended in 2007. There was per se nothing unlawful in him participating in the management of any company yet his fear of exposure induced him into taking actions that he would not normally have taken.
Whyte however, was made to believe that if the said information came to light he would face ‘serious consequences’ and possible ‘criminal sanctions’ according to an email that I have seen from MCR BC to Mr Whyte. As I have stated publicly fear is the fuel of blackmailers and directly and/or indirectly Mr Whyte was placed in a position whereby he feared exposure. When Mr Whyte was no longer prepared to ‘pay the exorbitant professional fees,’ in exchange for his antecedents not being revealed, a member of MCR BC ‘tipped off’ the BBC into his antecedents which permitted the BBC to film the expose on Mr Whyte.
Mr Whyte was also persuaded into appointing your firm as administrators in order to (according to an email) ‘soften the blow’ and allow him to escape any potential penal sanctions. Since this debacle has tentacles at the very pillar of Scottish society financial, professional and political only if your firm obtained the appointment could much of what was known to many be not exposed.
The rest is history.
I submit that Rangers Football Club PLC has (i) been subjected to a deliberate perpetrated fraud in excess of £50,000,000 (ii) never insolvent as it held almost £3.5 million cash in the bank as of February 2012 (iii) your appointment is seriously unfair and prejudicial to the shareholders and as a consequence as a shareholder I reserve the right to make an application in my own name to the Court under s.994 of the Companies Act 2006 evidencing the above and other material.
You will appreciate that if my contentions are correct as they are then Rangers Football Club PLC should never have faced any disciplinary from the SFA, never received a points deduction, never been made subject to Administration, never been expelled from the SPL and any other sanction that it has been subject to.
The damages to the Company and the club are recoverable from your firm, your insurers, and any third party that has acted as a result of the Administration.
I seek the return of all the monies obtained by your firm, legal fees, and any other professional fees which on a conservative estimate are in the region of £25,000,000 to be placed into an account at either the Court of Session or The High Court of Justice and that any further prejudicial or unfair acts in disposing of assets cease forthwith.
It causes no joy or satisfaction at having to submit this letter since the contents demonstrate a failure in the control systems that Parliament and the legislators have drafted and re-drafted
for the last 30 years. The tentacles of corruption here have extended even into ensuring the Parliament in Westminster adjourn/vacate the enquiry into the state of Scottish Football and the Rangers Affair sine die simply because its findings would be an alarm to the faithful supporters and those who believe in fairness and non-discrimination.
In light of the content of this letter I will be sending a copy to the SFA/SPL/SFL.
It follows that time is of the essence and I urge upon you an immediate response.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Giovanni Di Stefano

Now that the formalities are over. They think they have been punished. It is only now that the authorities can get on with the punishments. Standing up to the SFA by going to civil court has done them no favours, although this was the fault of Duff and Phelps not Sevco. The transfer ban to be reinstated if they do not want into SFL3 or they may possibly be facing suspension or expulsion. First team players leaving like rats deserting a sinking ship. Then fat Sally because of his fat mouth is to face disciplining. Not to mention the dual contracts and EBTs.
It is sad in a way, Der Hun think they have had it bad up till now, but the wind has been sown, time to reap the whirlwind. Will there be any way they can survive what is to come and still slither their way back into the top flight within two or three years (depending on possible restructuring of league system). It is “an awfully big adventure” that, sadly, they face,
Hail,Hail.

Hope someone can clear this up for me. Newco responsible for oldco debts as regards to fees to other clubs but are not for the tax owed to hector. I’ m not saying love love me I’m thick, but surely if Newco keep the ranjurs name and the whole identity they are responsible for all their old sins.(including the EBT duel contract scandal that has still to be investigated properly)To me it’s one way or the other, lose the name and the past if indeed it is a Newco. Football people and the so called MSM in Scotland are also confused, they keep referring to Newco as ranjurs and repeat that it is ranjurs(see James Traynor). Even Stewert Regan nd Neil Doncaster say that ranjurs have been demoted. They aren’t,they are a new club(or are they) and have got to apply as any new club would for membership for league status. I’m all for punishing them accordingly, but the punishment being given can’t be selective, even the transfer embargo is an oldco punishment but is the barrier that Newco has to accept before being allowed membership. Confusing, definitely a total farcical circus,ABSOLUTELY.

Hi phil was wondering now the dust is settling and sevco are in division 3. due to the upcoming ftt case are they considered a pheonix club or company? and if so how would that effect them?
also will they have to pay some type of security deposit to HMRC because of the tax avoidance thats went on if so any ideas how much? i ask because the laws on tax are vague but im sure ive heard of companies having to pay security deposits after being found guilty of tax avoidance. hail hail

Football supporters just have to.come out in their numbers whatever SPL team you support, money will be lost without Rangers, the Champions league will be tough, and there are no.guarantees Celtic or Motherwell will even get there.

Dundee it is then. Seems to be Newco will be staying put in Division 3, and they should be very thankful for that. I hope all the fans from other clubs support their teams by buying season tickets and merchandise to prove that football in Scotland can and will survive this whole circus that the old Rangers have caused( their pain will continue for years, playing lower league football, investigations into their affairs from the HMRC,police and the governing bodies of our game). Now to the so called representatives of our game, they should all be taken to task(apart from David Longmuir, who I wasn’t sure about has actually conducted himself with integrity and is a credit to his position). Neil Doncaster I think has put himself out of a job by telling half truths and trying to force the vote by scaremongering as regards to finances and predicting a bleak future for our game. Stewart Regan is another man who’s position is untenable, his form over the last 6 months has been nothing short of dereliction of duty, the same scaremongering tactics, predicting more clubs will go into administration and maybe even liquidation, now the alleged email that was sent to the old Rangers with their plans, if found to be true it is absolute dynamite and should force all the clubs to get together to rid themselves of these people plus Ogilvie. There should be total transparency, impartiality and integrity in our game for it to survive. I believe there should be one governing body( eventually) with maybe Turnbull Hutton at the helm. I also think the clubs should look more to the positives rather than worry about the so called projected losses being forced on us over the last few farcical months. Let’s move on and enjoy watching OUR teams.

Groundhog Day tomorrow 16/07/2012, will it be another attempt to let this “newco” achieve a higher status and allow them to join the “elite”. What plans will the SFA try to foster onto the SPL?
Will it not be better for them to action quickly the issues about the transfer of players as FIFA has requested that they expect answers within 7 days over a “simple” request”.
I just wish that FIFA told them to also action the delayed Tribunal and also the duel contracts within 7 days.
Maybe if there is a “fudge” on Groundhog Day , FIFA might ask the questions why SFA went against the wishes of a democratic vote of their two league organisations that overwhelmingly decided that the “newco” would start in the bottom tier of the leagues again giving them within 7 days to answer!

With many issues of ServcoScotland playing in the SFL3 the outstanding one is the “walk away” of the playing staff under the TUPE conditions. Will this team have any players to form a team? Will they have any money to pay them?
I decided to look at SFL Constitution and Rules, there is a Section 11,Players.
My understanding is that they can play 2 trialists and possibly 4 or 5 on loan players.
The 2 trialists can play for 3 games only!
So this might be a way for them to have a “skelton” team at practically no cost to play in the SFL3.
See website below for SFL Constitution and Rules
http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/docs/SFL_Constitution_and_Rules.pdf
122. PLAYING OF PLAYERS WITHOUT REGISTRATION
No more than two Trialists from any grade of football may be allowed to play, or be listed as a substitute for any club in any Championship match up to and including 31st March in any season.
122.1 Each Trialist may be allowed to play in, or be listed as a substitute for, a maximum of three games for any one club, provided he is otherwise eligible to do so.
Clubs playing a player in these circumstances must indicate the fact by adding the words “not registered” after such player’s name and address, place and date of birth, previous club, and the country in which he last played, in the list of players in their Report of Result of the game.
123. TRANSFER/TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION DURING
CURRENCY OF CONTRACT
Any bona fide player of a club (as defined in Rule 115 (Registration and Transfers – Bona fide Players)) shall be eligible to play, provided he is not registered for another club. If he is so registered his transfer, or temporary
transfer must be obtained from the club for which he is registered. Approval will not be given to any transfer which stipulates when or against whom the player may or may not play.
123.1 No trialist or player registered, transferred, or whose registration has been cancelled or lapses after 31st March in each year, shall be eligible to play in the current season’s competitions unless with the permission of the Board
and subject to such restrictions and limitations as may be imposed when such permission is granted.
123.2 Temporary transfers of registration for players on loan from one club to another shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
123.2.1 Temporary transfers shall not be permitted after the last day of January in each year.
123.2.2 A player whose registration is temporarily transferred shall have dispensation to play only for the borrowing club, during the period of such transfer.
123.2.3 Temporary transfers shall not be permitted between clubs of the same Division but temporary transfers are permitted between clubs of the League and clubs in full or associate membership of The Scottish Football Association or in membership of an affiliated association.
123.2.4 Temporary transfers will only be for a defined period and subject to the condition of such transfer having the player’s consent, prior to the registration of such transfer with the League.
123.2.5 The Board shall not during a season approve more than four temporary transfers to any one club at any one time. Of these, no more than one such transfer at any one time shall involve a player who has reached the age of 21 years on 1st January of the appropriate year. The maximum number of
temporary transfers allowed to any club in a season shall not exceed five,of which not more than two shall involve players who have reached the age of 21 years on 1st January of the appropriate year.

They have not been punished!
They are a new club who have been lucky to be accepted into the Scottish 3rd division.
Punishment will come with the outcome of the EBT double contracts and tax evasion, lets see if they want to be recognised as the Oldco when it comes to the real punishment

Trying not to rain on anyone’s parade here, but club 12 hasn’t been named yet. I have a deep-seated fear that sevco 666 or whatever may yet grace Paradise, ER and Love Street next season. I’ll enjoy a beer on Monday evening, but celebrating nothing until then. Question is do we as the finest team Scotland has ever known emulate our Belfast namesakes in the 50s and exercise the nuclear option and withdraw? I daresay Traynor and Scoop (sports journalist of the year says it all really, redundant information provision in the year of the blogger) will be similarly vociferous in begging us to stay.

YA DANCER !!!
Integrity over profit. No players ? No funds ? No fans ? No friends ?
The scottish game will be better for this just think no old firm derby for three years thats if they get promoted. The Gers don’t do walking away but not turning up is the same thing. This could mean the newco going into administration at the end of this year. Large wage bill of £18.73 to each player, with no income, running the stadium gas.elec’ water … (Go compare!) how can they do it. They will keep the main stand open the other three sides to be turned into a hostel for the homeless well ex rangers players! The EBT ones will be granted diplomatic anonymity based on Will-i-am of the oranges heathen land (it will be like chernobyl basically)
The best is, will they have to drop there season ticket prices to £180 the average for SFL 3 (ticket prices should be similar for each league) so even with 50,000 x 180 = 9,000,000 not enough to pay for a power card. Season books sold so far is 600 these all have a negative equity value and thus putting Ibrox stadium into the sub prime mortgage category, oh no liquidation, not again. Wonga won’t even give them a pay day loan. This will be a Zimbabwe style economy inside Ibrox, 2nd day pies selling at £5,000 bovril £2,500 orange Fanta well not Fanta asda smart price £900.

Well well, there you go, a vast majority go for integrity, but already there could a sting in the tail. SPL meeting on Monday with talk already about an SPL 2 with a possible invitation for Newco, these people just wont accept the consequences of their crimes. Sally McCoist was priceless on the news, trying to be dignified but yet again sounding vengeful and adamant that they done nothing wrong and are being punished because of a few individuals. Agree mate,
For the first time I don’t want them anywhere now. It is time for Celtic to get out. But how?
Even after all the votes and crimes and cheating and upset. Even after the people who’ve lost jobs and money and homes through their clubs actions. Even after their troops lost equipment and numbers, their hospitals lost nurses and doctors and their children lost an education. Even now even after all this and so much more they still can;t accept they did wrong. Further the SFA SPL SFL still try to save them and Sleekit still tries to flex his wee scrawny pitiful excuse of a muscle to threaten those who” he will be watching and reading about for the next few days.” Even now they still think they have been punnished and are actually the victims here. Where will it end?
I admit it I was wrong in a previous post a few weeks ago I said it didn’t matter, maybe they had suffered enough. Now I have finally seen the light and I realize that too much punishment is never enough and that the only way is the end of them.
You are needed even more than ever now Phil. We know they are all sitting reading your site and we know they are all hurting you need to find a killer blow(obviously not literally) to put them down once and for all. Only a silver bullet or a stake will work I fear.
Keep at them.

Taken from the STV Website Sevco’s response to the decision –
“In response to the decision, newco Rangers stated they understand that Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster and SFA chief executive Stewart Regan “will introduce a plan for SPL 2- which would include Rangers – and invite existing Division One members to join.”
However, the club consequently revised that statement on their official website. Instead newco Rangers said the SPL 2 plan was “mooted last week” and would “swing into action in the event of today’s outcome but it is not known if this will be the case.”
OOPS another “Faux Pas” from the newco marketing dept.
You should apply for the job there Phil!!

Well a brave decision by the SFL Clubs. But then the 2 clowns shuffle the pack, yet again, and are now proposing SPL 2 and promising “The Newco” admittance. Surely the hacks must see this as bias and back door attempts to get them quickly to the top flight?? They are lucky to get into the SFL at all as they are a new team with no evidence of financial support, re: audited accounts, open book, etc.
If they had been a wee diddy team(some might say they are now,ha!ha!)they would have had been drummed out altogether.
Bring on the SFA punishments and Tax issues and we’ll see how the survive that without their pals?

July 13, 2012 at 3:27 pm

With 25 clubs in the SPL deciding that the newco starts in their Division 3, that means bn my calculations 35 clubs out of a 42 from the SPL/SFL actually went against the wishes of the recommendations put to them!
But I believe it’s not all over as I am sure that the SPL meet on Monday, I just wonder if they will try to recreate a SPL2 and place the newco there!
Whatif that scenario happens and they try to invite SFL clubs to this, these clubs would actually be infringing their rules by trying to leave the SFL. Also if all SFL clubs refused join a SPL2, would the SPL/SFA then invite non-league teams like Spartans, Cove Rangers,to make up the numbers in a SPL2!
Nothing would surprise me with the people running SPL/SFA!

I am an honest man. Since day one, I have called for nothing more than a “level playing field.” With one hundred years of conspiracy and corruption pushing harrying picking them up and carrying, it is time to say goodbye to Paddy McGinty’s Goat lovers.
The working of the SFA, SPL AND the SFL who were the men who started to tolerate THE PLEDGE, have been seen to be shameful.
These is not one single man in that entire group who should remain in power after today. Indeed they should have been fired for not administrating Rangers Lawfully from 14th Feb 2012.

Let’s hope the good guys win today again. I still can’t believe this has been allowed to drag on for so long. Some of the SFL chairmen have come out of this with loads of dignity even though the pressure shouldn’t have been put on them in the first place. For me Newco should be grateful they are even getting a chance to play in SFL 3. Charles Green to me is a guy who will say anything to get his own way, but he has supporters within the governing bodies who( as Phil says are only interested in promoting a brand)and cushioning the Newco’s free fall. I fear for our game if they are voted to the 1st division. All Newco associates should hang there heads in shame( but they won’t ). Also I wish ex Celts would stop adding to ‘keep Newco in the top flight’. This does not help Davie Hay, Frank MacAvennie etc. think about it please. The Old Co Huns have made Scottish football a complete joke.

By wrongly informing Dundee that they would not be allowed to vote at todays crucial meetings because they held a “conflict of interest” I believe that the SFA and SPL were getting mixed up with the position Duff and Phelps are currently in.
Any news yet whether Duff and Phelps have provided the proof that Lord Hodge has insisted of them ?
July 13, 2012 at 12:22 pm

The SFA and the SPL put it in writing last night that they do not know what they are doing.
For the last two weeks both Governing bodies have told and insisted that Dundee will not be allowed to vote at todays meetings because……….. wait for it…………… they have a conflict of interest !!! (Are they getting their lines crossed with Duff and Phelps ? )
Last night they wrote to Dundee to tell them that they WILL be allowed to vote and that Dundee MUST vote because they DO NOT have a conflict of interest.
With Governing bodies like this then what chance do any of us have.

Phil, I’ve been following Celtic for more that 50 years and in all the time the game has been rigged in favour of “rangers” so nothing new there. What is new is that you and your fellow “internet bampots” have pulled aside the curtains and let the whole world see what has been going on in Scottish football since before I was born. Please don’t ever give up, I expect the SFL to do the right thing today but even if they don’t I still believe “they” are done for and that they and their fellow conspirators will be gone in the next fews months.

Even if they allow Servco into SFL1 or any league today, all is still not lost.
HMRC BDO will soon appear on the horizon for investigation of Rangers(IL). So there could be more revelations to occur.
Ok the SFA might in their (blue)wisdom never convene the AT or might never investigate further the double contracts, they will make up another rule to accomodate this and in their eyes will state it’s for the “better of Scottish Football”!
But fans of other clubs will know the REAL TRUTH, once books are written on the REAL TRUTH it will go down in history never to be forgotten.
Again if Servco get their own way, for transparency and clarity do we change the league names to SERVCO Football League 1 (SFL1).
I will also stop watching football in Scotland, will look to other leagues for entertainment.
My last visit/view of Hampden, will be on the 26 July to take in the Olympic football there, after that in my eyes Hampden will no longer exist.

If you fail to see the point phil, It is because you miss the point. Put things into perspective and your outlook changes, There will always be clowns wishing to be the ringmaster in the circus called scottish football only this time the audience are not laughing people can see through the disguise the show is in complete disaray, time for the clowns to step aside We need a ringmaster who hears the deafening sound of silence and the rumbles of discontent. Do not give up the ghost just yet as the finale is far from over as this little synopsis could yet turn out to have an ending fit for purpose.

Who will want to buy the product that Regan and Doncaster are selling? It was hard enough when we only suspected the refereeing officials of being a little circumspect, to put it politely, then we found out that it was true.
Now the SFA/SFL must stand up to the one rule for the rich and popular with the rest only there to make up the numbers.
Sport depends on clear cut precise rules to be called a fair competition. All the football fans, even most of the Zombies, want and need fair play so our game can be pulled out of the mire that twenty years of financial doping has left it in. Is it any coincidence that the quality of play of our National team has nose dived along the same timescale.
Regan et al must lose today.

If this goes the way of the SFA and Newcorangers are voted into the 1st then I would see that outcome as being a catalyst for a revolution of the game in Scotland.
Supporting my local GAA team or soccer team would NEVER in a million years replace the feeling and passion of following Celtic for me. Id rather take up golf more seriously or running perhaps!
No, I would see a rebel split emerging. I think you would see clubs leaving the Association and competing in an unofficial league with rules designed on integrity. Barred from competing in Europe initially, the new league clubs will eventually become the ‘fishal’ league and be welcomed back into European competition.
This is what must be canvassed for and demanded in my view. Dont give up hope if it doesnt go the way of integrity today.
There is ALWAYS a better way. KTF

Why should Sevco even be allowed entry into the third tier of scottish football? As the Spartans chairman said on Wednesday: His club have three years of audited accounts, a full playing squad and 100% chance of fulfilling next seasons fixtures.
Can Sevco lay claim to any of these important points mentioned above?

This is exactly the point. “A club to enter the SFL setup, must have 3 years audited accounts and show that they can sustain themselves and compete within the SFL”. Emmmmmm, correct me if I am wrong, and that is the rules (for everyone), but Sevco Scotland Ltd have no such things. eg, not enough playing staff registered, no accounts and no long term finance for sustaining their status in THE SFL. Perhaps someone can clarify the situation for me. The SPL has come in for a lot of criticism lately, and rightly so, for having to be driven by the fans to do the right thing. So, then having made the decision that Dodo FCs newco was not allowed a SPL place the ball was batted into the SFL court. Surely that’s all the SPL could have done as they don’t have the power to specify what league the Sevco/newco/tesco or whatever they’re called must play in, if they play in any.
My understanding is that the action of barring them from the SPL was all they could do. The SFA set the rules and these ( I think )dictate that the SFL clubs end up the fall guys.
Anyway…here’s hoping this is a real black Friday for the orcs.

Dannybhoy1976
The SPL rejected the share transfer to sevco John, but essentially only after the fans made it a non-starter by threatening not to renew season tickets and boycotting other clubs.
The reason the SPL are coming in for so much criticism now is that after following the wishes of their own fans and seeing the benefit as season tickets began to shift, it now appears that all along the were rejecting sevco to appear to be doing the right thing, whilst behind the scenes instructing Donkey to bully the SFL into shoehorning them into Div 1 to protect their own interests, so the integrity you thought was shown by SPL chairmen was really just a smokescreen, and they too are nothing but a bunch of fickle self-serving bastards…

Ive got the Brisbane Roar Phill. the competition is poor. 10k fans in 50k stadium. Only ever full for a grand final. Not really too many away fans given the vast distances for travel. Quality wise i give you Matt Mackay, POTY, before he joined the dark side. Get to play in Asian CL where you get to watch the best from Japan and S.Korea..some skilful players there and the chance to visit some exciting asian countries. The Japanese are fanatical supporters by the way and make one hell of an atmosphere.
But its not great, there are some strange rugby style ideas about how you win the league, there is a salary cap, no superstars here, i get to boo Liam Miller and Ian Ferguson and cheer big Gouldy when we play Perth. Its honest. No cheats. No favourite establishment teams. No bending of the rules.
IF sevco are allowed into div1 then I’ll not renew mycancelled setanta/espn subscription and will not be watching scottish football any longer. Cheated like a mug once, more fool you. Treated like a mug twice, more fool me. I’d much rather shoutc c’mon the Hoops but may just end up with C’mon the Mighty Roar. I hope not.
