Oh just when I thought this couldn’t get any better!
Here in an interview with the BBC’s Alasdair Lamont the prospective owner of Ibrox stadium puts his cards on the table.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18373399
He admits that if the CVA fails next week then
“…the history, the traditions everything that is great about this club is swept aside.”
Correct Charlie.
Well done!
New co means new club.
In fairness to the lad from the Beeb he did ask ONE important question of Charlie and his boys.
When Green was asked he admitted that he had approached members of the Blue Knights consortium and solicited them for money.
Hmmm…
Now I wonder what prompted the Beeb chap to home in on that issue?
http://www.philmacgiollabhain.ie/charles-green-asks-the-blue-knights-for-help/#more-2776
Of course what the chap from Pacific Quay COULD have asked was the following:
“Mr Green you say that there is £5.5 million in place to purchase the assets of Rangers in a New Co sale. Is that money borrowed on a short term basis and is it your intention to pay it back with season ticket money?”
The Beeb chap might also have asked the blunt Yorkshire man about his access to working capital.
If I was a Rangers season ticket holder about to renew for next season then I would want to know if it was only my cash that was going to keep the new club afloat.
Twelve months ago I welcomed Mr Craig Whyte to Planet Fitba because I just knew I would grow to love that guy.
http://www.philmacgiollabhain.ie/rangers-strike-it-lucky-with-their-new-owner/
He was the type of owner I wanted for Rangers.
Now I have a new object for my affections.
Charlie I think this the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

BBC omitting history? Phil I know for a fact that Charles Green did confirm in his interview with A Lamont that were the CVA to be rejected: “the history etc. all dies” however, I can no longer find this on the bbc website. The video where I think he said it appears to have been edited!!?? Might be worth further investigation. Surely the BBC wouldn’t be seeking to alter history to make a newco more palatable to the newco’s prospective fan base?

This Newco idea can’t happen, if the governing bodies allow this who will be next, front runner has to be Hearts and so on. Why would anyone owing a large debt want to pay it for the clubs who don’t or won’t ever win trophies what will it matter to them except debt FREE. Then you have all the suppliers, Police,Employees and of course HMRC who will pay them all the suppliers will go out of business then you would have clubs being run on a sub-prime mortgage basis, thus causing the collapse of Scottish football. Out of the 40 teams just now, we might end up with 10 honest clubs able to run their own ship with the others applying for membership to get back in.
SFA run by ex-rangers staff have to look long and hard at this, remember Rangers were brought down by Rangers men who had Rangers at their heart. Who is going to lend a company with a bad reputation and only a dodgy handshake here and there to go on.
So it means that their 5 stars on there jerseys will ultimately stand for 5 star Ibrox Hotel and Restaurant run by Gordon Ramsey of course.

Congratulations for all your superb work, which along with Rangers Tax Case, Celtic Quick News, Paul McConville, Alex Thomson and forums such as Kerrydale Street and others has blown the lid off what has been a sensational, transfixing and utterly compelling story.
Which is not over yet by a long way.
And apologies for the spat on twitter over Charles Green’s funding.

I believe Brian Kennedy owns WEATHERSEAL, remember him the great Hibee supporter who wanted to buy another Scottish club recently (he failed in buying HIBS a number of years ago), who is allegedly close friends of Graeme Souness.
So could there be a conflict of interest if the CVA fails on Thursday and Brian Kennedy being part of a consortium, present themselves to the SPL as the new owners of newco Rangers.
See Below.
WEATHERSEAL Home Improvements Ltd and the Scottish Premier League today announced an exclusive partnership which sees Weatherseal become the league’s official home improvement partner.
Launched on the first day of business after the transfer window opened on Saturday, Weatherseal is the SPL’s first big signing of the summer after a significant undisclosed six figure deal was unanimously rubber stamped by the twelve SPL clubs.
The SPL’s new partner aims to engage with clubs, players, supporters and the media alike to support and promote Scottish football in a highly proactive fashion.
SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “The SPL is focused on supporting SPL clubs financially as much as possible and I am delighted to announce a new partnership with Weatherseal, the first official home improvement partner of the SPL.
“The Weatherseal brand is thriving in Scotland and working with such a strong brand will complement our other commercial partnerships with the Clydesdale Bank, Coca-Cola, Thomas Cook and William Hill.
“Weatherseal have a number of innovative ideas to maximise the benefits of our partnership and we are very much looking forward to working together over the coming season.
“This announcement demonstrates there is a strong appetite amongst brands to be associated with the SPL.”
Tony Reilly, group managing director at Weatherseal, added: “We are delighted to have concluded this deal with the SPL and are very pleased to be part of Scottish football as the summer’s first signing.
“So many of our customers are huge football fans across the country and we see tremendous synergy between the vibrancy of our brands.
“Local communities have been good to our brand over the years and we want to give something back by supporting their teams, so we’ll do everything we can to help the league to improve in every sense. This is a real partnership.”

The M.S.M don’t really follow or bother about Rangers* F.C., strictly speaking. That is just a smokescreen towards perpetuating their ‘british’ anti-Catholic anti-Irish, anti-Socialist, pro Presbyterian, Capitalist right wing establishment agenda. They will more than likely adopt a new club to champion their squalid wee right wing cause…probably Murderwell or Hearts, once Cheats F.C have joined Third Lanark into the dustbin of history.

THURSDAY IS DOOMS DAY !
What would you do if you were a Rangers creditor? Would you vote yes to a CVA which would see you get an absolute pittance in return for what you are owed or would you vote no and send the people who shafted you into oblivion? If you were tempted to concede that something is better than nothing would you be happy to end up with a tiny fraction of what you are due while those who owe you laugh their way into the sunset with aspirations of spending millions on new players at your expense? Or would you prefer to teach them a lesson and gain a lot of satisfaction from putting the cheats firmly in their place for conning you out of what is rightfully yours? I know which option I would go for if I were a creditor. I wouldn’t let anyone get away with shafting me and it would be worth it to trade the pittance on offer for a chance to stop the shysters in their tracks.

Hoops Bhoys, listen here……
Look for Wednesday eve….. HMRC will have a thing to say by then… SFA will follow suit a wee bit after… The Celts will have 12 in a row at least by the end Q3, trust me… I actually feel sorry, well a wee bit, for the decent football fan(s) Rangers have coming from a mixed OF family and I would have felt more in that direction If I heard sorry, humility and remorse but NOOOOOO… Bullish, we will cast off the cocoon and flourish crap I hate… Ra peepul!
They could have played this so much better to gain sympathy…. D&P/Green have been petrol to the fire IMO…. If these guys were told the lottery numbers for next week they would fuk them up…!
Big week ahead it will take til Mid July before the full verdict is known.. My lassies’ birthdays’ 21st maybe some conclusion then… The BK’s will buy a Scottish club, St Mirren anyone…? Rangers will exist in some form but it will take a while to get to the top and I really hope in doing so they cast aside their bitter, tormented element…
Football is a fekin game, a sport, for all to enjoy, passion , awesome but not criminality..!

It’s well past the date for this mob to have paid off its football debts far less its other debts so there is no way they should be allowed to play in the SPL next season, not according to SPL rules anyway. I hear that HMRC has indeed made a deal with them behind closed doors. The deal is that they PAY EVERY PENNY THAT THEY OWE. I really don’t think HMRC
would have hired a firm of liquidators to be on standby on Thursday morning if they were meaning to accepat a CVA. You would think that the corpulent Traynor and his bigoted associates would have pointed this out to the NON (aye right!)denominationally educated morons before now. At least it would have helped to soften the blow.

Thursday is CVA rejection day for Dignity FC. All things being equal (yes, I know, I know) the world will be rid of them for good by 1 o’clock on that day.
Surely the creditors can’t roll over for them like every other organisation has done from day one.
Jim Scoop Traynor, that relentless newshound, reckons the “rage against Rangers” is born out of “pure hatred” by undesirables in society.
What incompetence, or cowardice, or outright bigotry. F*** it – it’s all three, and we know it.
Sport is supposed to be a respite from the injustices of the real world.
Sport without rules is an oxymoron. Every other sport is meticulous in its governance of the rules. Witness the punishments handed out to jockeys, racing drivers etc for the slightest of infringements.
Scoop and his like argue that we cretins can’t even rise above our prejudice and see the financial argument for turning a blind eye to Rangers’ cheating.
Yet the Aberdeen supporters’ president, for one, has spelled it out clearly to them – if a Newco is allowed to enter the SPL then more than 300 Aberdeen season ticket holders will refuse to renew. That cancels out any financial benefits of allowing this fiasco to continue.
I am perfectly aware that a Newco will NOT be Rangers 1872 – 2012 RIP – but try telling that to the laptop loyal if it starts to become successful.
So Scoop and the rest had better get on board with the rest of us if he is concerned about the future of Scottish football. A Newco will empty the grounds. Aberdeen’s share of the TV deal (with both Celtic and Rangers)will not convince their supporters either. It is a bagatelle.
There is absolutely no argument, moral or financial, for a life-belt being thrown to “ra peepul” other than the idea that they are “ra peepul”. It is exactly this attitude that caused their demise in the first place, since they tried to eliminate any semblance of a challenge to their rightful ownership of trophies by cheating to get them.
Oh, incidently, I didn’t hear any complaints from the laptop loyal about lack of competition ruining the game during the “glorious” nine-in-a-row under Sir David.
If any of these “potential backers” of Dignity FC really want to prove their business acumen, I’ve a good proposal for them – get investing real soon in tattoo removal parlours.

While I marvel at the demise of this shameful and criminal circus of a club I am concern that the The Bigots behind the Curtain are still at large. Yes, a few foot soldiers have been sacrificed but those behind the scenes will be plotting scheming.
Nothing changes, those who think so do at their peril.
Salmond should be booted out of office and UEFA should have been investigating months ago with is intercessions on behalf of the ASBO Astronauts. Judicial review of the initial appointment of Dung & Phallus by the courts and their conduct during this whole affair is required.
Won’t happen. The pervasiveness of the sectarian kleptocracy in this country is in its DNA, this Ibroke affair only scratches the surface. Hamlet had an end act, this one will rumble on.

Song moment which is as much tribute to Phil’s brillint work over the yers as it is a song about Rangers demise…enjoy!
Skinflints (parody of Vincent by Don McLean)
Starry, starry night
Paints their palette blue and Green
4 boys had a broken dream
With eyes that know the darkness in their souls
they never paid their bills
cheated all to get their thrills
catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colours cross the ever empty stands
Do they understand what they did to RFC
how they suffered from insanity
How they thought that all was free
but they would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now
Starry, starry night
Lenny’s fires brightly blaze
smiling eyes in emerald haze
Reflect in Ally’s eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Rangers loss is Scotland’s gain
see weathered faces lined in pain
No longer soothed by Watty’s big red hand
Did they understand what they did to RFC
how they suffered from insanity
thinking everything was free
but they would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now
For they could not like us
because they were true blue
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
they walked away as Rangers often do
But I could have told you, Rangers
This league was never meant
for cheats as dodgy as you
Starry, starry night
Trophies stripped from empty halls
silence falls on derry’s walls
while Scotland’s watchful eyes will not forget
All the teddies that they’ve met
the ragged men in ragged clothes
With arrogance and big blue nose
will lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think they know what we tried we tried to say to them
not to trust those dodgy conmen
..and including SDM
but they would not listen, they’re not listening still
Perhaps they never will
RIP Rangers

Been reading a lot of the comments as well as your blog for a wee while now phil. Must say i wish you worked for a scottish rag like the daily ranger. These people have been taking and lying and cheating for years and not just on the football field. I come from a long line of tims and have an older brother who taught me at a very young age that in the greatest wee country in the world there are only two types of football supporter. They are Celtic or anti Celtic. I have lived most of my 52 years with this as a moto and now as i sit here watching this pantomime unfold before my eyes awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild i see nothing has changed. So believe me the grandchild will be taught this at a young age and encouraged to leave this cesspit that masquerades as a developed country as soon as possible. Keep up the good work. Enough is enough Phil.
Even as a Celt to the core and with direct experience of how bad they are in the real world, not just the football aspect of it, even I am feeling sorry for them now.
Let me explain.
In my opinion it looks like they are going to pay a “rich” guy to become the owner of their club, again! They are going to pay to let him lord it over them and they are going to support it or else they are letting down their club and their history. Isn’t this just that love me or else sort of set up that all emotional blackmailers use to bully their way to whatever it is they want.
It is this redistribution of wealth favored by the Condems where the poor give to the rich. Do not be confused many of ‘the people’ who work just like me, hard for a living, have to sacrifice much to pay for their tickets. To allow this type of coercion for the sake of the CVA or the NEWCO makes me feel sick to the core. I know many rangers fans are worried that these guys are vultures picking over the carcass of their club, I don’t really want to cheer them on whilst they do it.
I think for the sake of all of us who are inhabitants on this wee bit of the planet we need to think again, and try and dismiss this guy Green. Not just because it is bad for them, but because by letting one of these people get their hands on Scottish football at any level is bad for all of us. As a socialist and a Celt I know this is controversial, but enough is enough. I hope RFC and all it stands for dies. A Newco will be enough for me. But watching it (ordinary workers who pay for it) being bled of another £17 million or whatever over the next few years whilst it does die, is just too much.
Is it impossible for the RFC fans to just pay their season ticket money together to a consortium and use this money to finance a club of their own? Does anyone know why they are not just doing this?
Keep at them Phil but don’t pretend too much admiration of (in my opinion) the vultures.

“Everything that is great about this club is swept aside” said Charlie Green on the subject of a Rangers newco. Well, what I want to know is will everything that is RANCID about this club be swept aside? Will it be the end of anti-Irish racism? Will it be the end of anti-Catholic sectarianism? Will it be the end of financial doping? Will it be the end of favoritism and dodgy decision making? Will it be the end of hooliganism and rioting? Will it be the end of offensive songs and chants? Will it be the end of chronic obesity? If so, maybe this newco might not be so bad after all.

Finally, the penny drops!
New Co = start from scratch. The 1872 history ends in 2012.
I think the only reason for putting off the inevitable (i.e. liquidation) is one word.
Manchester.
A sudden death of a loved one is more traumatic and makes people unpredictable. Where Rangers fans are concerned, this would make it difficult for Strathclyde’s finest to maintain public order.
So when Rangers FC (1872) is suffering from a very public and slow death, all the Huns will know what to expect. This gives them more time to reflect upon what’s been happening and finally to prepare for the end. Perhaps even acceptance.
We can only hope.

So glad i checked twitter before bed!Once again the Scottish media cant,or wont, ask the most pertinent questions. It now must be clear to even the dimmest “peepil” that the end game is racing towards them at great speed. This “newco” emerge with history intact nonsense has been pushed for long enough,it is over! When i see the level of vitriol directed against you and your family in the cyber world i cant help but think,if only they had listened to you Phil.As always, outstanding work and amazing foresight.
