Planning the Sevco way?

Back in April, I submitted a Freedom of Request to Glasgow City Council.

I did this through The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

Here are the questions that I submitted to the City Council:

I am seeking all correspondence and communications (including electronic) between the Leader’s office and Land & Environmental Services apropos Rangers FC and the redevelopment of the environs of Ibrox stadium.

I am seeking all correspondence and communications (including electronic) between Land & Environmental Services and other Council officials apropos Rangers FC and the redevelopment of the environs of Ibrox stadium.

I am seeking all correspondence and communications (including electronic) between Mr Brian Devlin (Executive Director of Land & Environmental Services) and other Council officials apropos Rangers FC and the redevelopment of the environs of Ibrox stadium.

I am seeking all correspondence and communications (including electronic) between the Council and Glasgow Housing Association apropos Rangers FC and the redevelopment of the environs of Ibrox stadium.

I am seeking all correspondence and communications (including electronic) between the City Council organisation and Rangers FC apropos the redevelopment of the environs of Ibrox Stadium.

Did Mr David (Davie) Russell (Manager at Land and Environmental Services) inform his line manager apropos his invitation to match between The Rangers Football Club and Hibernian in December 2015?

How many similar invitation has Mr David (Davie) Russell received from The Rangers Football Club to attend matches within the last two calendar years?

On July 20th, 2016 I received a reply from Glasgow City Council.

The correspondence between The Rangers and Glasgow City Council was heavily redacted.

However, the information I could glean from the emails allowed me to submit the following questions to the Ibrox press office today:

Did a representative/employee of your club write to Glasgow City Council on 29th September 2015 Re: Edmiston Drive?

Did this email propose that banners “…of former Rangers players…” be hung from lighting columns in Edmiston Drive?

Are these lightning columns the property of Glasgow City Council?

Did your club receive a reply from the Traffic and Road Safety section of the Land and Environmental Services Department of Glasgow City Council on the same day (September 29th at 14.30 hrs.) to the effect that the lighting columns were “not designed for the additional structural loading that a banner would add”?

Did the council employee also state that they had an issue with any such banners on columns “…to third parties for their advertising gain…”?

Did a representative/employee of your club further write to Glasgow City Council on 30th October 2015 apropos this project?

What is the state of this project now?

If there is a response to my questions from the Ibrox press office, then I will publish them here.
